Bar stools in a vibrant canary yellow leather are the focal point of The Sidecar at The Westbury, one of Dublin’s best-loved hotels. Luxor leather in Umber was used; this leather has a soft finish and a superflat appearance, and it also ages beautifully. Gaining its name from the cocktail of the same name, the Sidecar Bar’s design is infused with the spirit of the 1930s, and was inspired by luxurious art deco ocean liners. The interiors scheme was devised by Timothy Mather Design, a practice that is also working across the Westbury’s sister hotels in London and Washington, owned by the Doyle Collection.
